This small Italian cafe off 8 Ave SW is tight on space and big on flavour. There is a relatively small menu with some unique to me pasta items and everything is done well. First of all, it is small, so reservations are recommended. I...also like the idea of small portions of most meals available for lunch time eating. Three of us went for lunch one cold February day. We were there before 1130 but the place filled up pretty quickly. I ordered two small plates, the small daily soup and the grilled octopus. The soup was a nice creamy potato, bacon and cheese bowl and the octopus came with creamy avocado and greens along with a small tentacle, maybe a little longer than my index finger. My wife had the orecchiette, a shell like pasta with butternut squash and wild boar sausage. It was very tasty and the half portion was just the right size for lunch. Our friend had the conchiglie, two large shell pastas filled with beef and prosciutto. We were very happy and intend to come back.
