The Uncommon Cafe is across from Oppenheimer Park which is certainly not a nice looking part of town. But the atmosphere in the cafe was so eclectic and had an interested vibe. It felt quite humble, but that suits the neighbourhood which is honestly very...dingy. But in the cafe everything felt fun and friendly and all the food looked delicious. It turns out that the kitchen is also a commissary where food trucks and other artisans make and store their food. So there were some interesting items on sale from these people as well. The food we had was well priced and very tasty but we also tried an interesting drink called Shrub. It's a vinegar based drink, which doesn't sound great but was actually really good. We even bought some before leaving. I'll come here again next time I'm in Vancouver.
