Very nice location, and a nice interior. That is the positive. I was seated in a restaurant that had only a few customers, and lots of staff. One would think that is a good sign. My order was onion soup to start to be followed...by a prime rib steak, medium rare. The waiter took the order, and about 15 minutes later returned with my main course. No soup had been served. At first the feedback was that he ‘missed that’. I requested the soup to be brought and the steak returned to the kitchen for another use. The waiter took the steak, and retuned in a few minutes to say the soup would be out shortly. Then he added that he thought the soup was brought out before he brought the steak. If he was paying attention rather than watching tv in the bar side with the other waiter and bartender he may have noticed it was not. Or not changed his story.. The onion soup arrived and it did taste good. The steak was delivered and was well past the medium-rare stage, and moving toward well done. I suspect it had been kept for 25 minutes under a heat lamp. I sent it back. At the price for the steak it better be right. However, the manager who came by to take the overdone steak back was going to leave the fries on the table. I suggested that she take them and then bring fresh ones when the new steak was brought to make up a meal that is served at the same time. Before the new steak was prepared yet another manager came by the table to see how thing s were. At least he confirmed the first steak was indeed overdone. When the new steak was brought it was done as requested. In the end a big disappointment overall. Clearly lots of staff and few customers does not equate to good service or high quality food. After all these months of covid lockdowns spend your money elsewhere, where you can get good service and great food.
