The Shark Club is part of the Sandman hotel in Victoria BC. BC is on the cusp of it’s next stage of reopening, and with the heat wave, the hotel has been inundated with locals. I am one of these locals. Tonight, at 7 pm...I went down to the pub. I was turned away due to capacity restrictions. Fine, that is understandable. Instead I asked to place a food order to take away to to my room. I was told that the kitchen was not taking orders. I explained that I am a guest at the hotel. Still nothing. Meanwhile delivery people from Doordash kept on showing up to take food away. Disgusting. I will never stay at the Sandman or eat at the Shark Club if I have any other choice, nor would I suggest it to anyone.
