An old friend suggested meeting here for breakfast this week. (I had checked out the website before coming and found there are two other Joe's Grill's - both in the West End.) All three have the same menu and are only opened for breakfast and...lunch until 4-5 p.m. They have a very extensive breakfast menu which is served all day. Their lunch menu consists mainly of salads, sandwiches and burgers. I arrived at the Grill on Main St at about 8:30 a.m. (half hour after opening.) There was a crowd there already, but I managed to find a table for two. I was cheerfully greeted by the waitress, who much to my delight asked me if I wanted any coffee. After my friend arrived, she took our order promptly. Our orders came out within 15 minutes, maybe sooner since we were busy chatting and catching up with what we've been doing. I had ordered "The Basic" breakfast which consists of two eggs with either ham, bacon, or sausage, along with pan-fried potatoes and two slices of toast. I chose bacon. My friend ordered the Denver omelette, which was also served with pan-fried potatoes and two slices of toast. My order was tasty and very filling. It came with four strips of bacon which were very crispy (the way I like it) and lots of potatoes. In order to finish my order, I had to go easy on the toast, eating only two pieces (4 total) of toast. My friend was full after eating the omelette, one piece of toast and just half of the potatoes. I will definitely come back and am tempted to try some of the other breakfasts next time.
