Holy crap. All I can say is WOW. My husband and I lived in Hamilton for ages now and have ordered from several of the “best” restaurants in Hamilton never being fully satisfied because even the ‘good’ ones never quite nail it.. too salty or...too many fried options on the menu etc. But rapscallion has NAILED IT. A chef who knows what he’s doing. We ordered the salmon crudo, steak poivre, lobster mac and cheese, whipped feta, and eggplant and this is possibly some of the best food I’ve ever had (I don’t take saying that lightly) - it’s up there with manhattan level restaurants. The steak is actually excellent quality and all the Asian fusion flavours were on point. I wish the portions were slightly larger but only because it’s so delicious I want the flavours to linger and be experienced longer. I don’t even write reviews but I was left with so many feelings after this order I just had to!!!! Also know that reviews are the lifeblood of local businesses and want to make sure people know how great you are. We will be ordering here regularly. Also please consider getting on ubereats or offering a delivery service - patrons of the Hamilton food scene will appreciate it. And please never compromise on this quality! You guys deserve every bit of success you get. Next time can’t wait to try the dumplings, steak tartare and gnocchi. Side bar - when I picked up I was struck but how warm and welcoming everyone was (the host at the front was lovely) and even staff who weren’t serving me started talking to me.
