I arrived at Tomakazu with a few friends for all you can eat sushi. It is important to note that I have been a regular at Tomakazu for well over a decade. Pre covid I would go with friends about once a month for all...you can eat. As a long term customer I was a little confused about the new rule that limited tables to "2 orders." The owner was happy to clarify what the rule meant, but then proceeded to say that the rule had "always" been in place at Tomakazu, which is not true. I have had all you can eat at Tomakazu over 80 times in my life, and not once have I been limited to "2 orders" as such a rule has never existed until now. I stated to the owner that Tomakazu never had such a rule, and I was shocked when he said that I was "factually incorrect." I have never felt so disrespected, so my friends and I left. To call a customer a liar, especially when I was telling the truth, is beyond reprehensible. One would also think that the new owner of the establishment would want to hold on to loyal customers, but that is clearly not the case. I have attached various photos of Tomakazu menus over the years for proof. If this "rule" was a thing, it would have been on the menu alongside the other "rules." And if this "rule" existed but they didn't tell people and allowed people to order more than twice, is it even a rule? I am a 40 year old professional that was treated like dirt and called a liar for telling the truth. The sad thing is that the owner wouldn't even apologize..
