FOOD: This place primarily does pizza. (It’s not called Pizza No. 900 for nothing!) But by focusing primarily on one dish, this restaurant also does it very well. The thin-crust Napolitaine pizzas in a carefully curated selection of varieties are among the tastiest we’ve had...in Montreal. I usually get the margherita, but my dining companions have also tried some of the various meat-topped varieties and everyone has always been pleased. The restaurant also offers a small menu of starters (such as soups and salads) and cannelloni for desserts. Wines and other beverages are available to accompany the meal. And the price won’t give you indigestion. SERVICE: Good. We usually go early so when the staff has few other customers to serve. We’ve been there when larger parties arrived and the service was admittedly slower, but still attentive and timely. ATMOSPHERE: Casually elegant. The décor honors the historic quality of the building, yet feels contemporary at the same time. They seem to favor 70s soul music for a sound track, which is fine (I’m a fan) but surprising (not what one expects in a relatively new chain).
