We went as a large party. The people who didn't order the specialities, didn't enjoy the experience. Us, who ordered the Karhai- left satiated. Lesson: order the specialties when you go to an ethnic restaurant ! We ordered: - fish pakoras - taste of peshawar...lamb karhai : this is very different from the karhai we (from Lahore) make at home and it was finger licking good. Be ready to have oil all over you and your fingers :) the Lamb was gamey as lamb is, but not stinky at all. - family grilled platter: will skip next time, it was good but not incredible. And the surprising piece de resistance...were the vegetarian dishes. Tasted home cooked and just comforting. - eggplant bhartga : so well made I'm never bothering to try making this at home again. Easier to order out. - maash daal: this is mushy well flavored slightly dry on purpose (ie non soupy and scoopable) - just tastes like moms cooking! Naan was phenomenal, the consideration shown to one of the vegans in our group was amazing. Look forward to going back and seeing Shahdab and Pruthivi, our friendly servers, again.
