Beware, for those requiring a gluten free diet: the fish tacos are not gluten free! Even though the menu says the breading is GF, and the server on our first visit assured us they are GF, they share the same deep fryer as the churros! So there is a potentially high level of cross contamination. We suspected gluten ingestion but could not think of where from until on a visit to another Maiz location we were informed of the fryer issue. Maiz needs to increase awareness of cross contamination and note that items that have gluten free ingredients but then are deep fried are not safe for those with celiac disease. That being said, there are many other GF choices on their menu and great cider on tap from Brickworks Cider House.
