I am obsessed with sandwiches. As far as I'm concerned, as a food type, there is nothing more versatile and perfect. Any time of day, any ingredients, any taste. You understand. I search out perfect sandwiches. I rate them on taste, bread to ingredient ratio,...price, messiness, mood, etc. At lunchtime, in the Montreal downtown core, there is nothing better than one of Insolite's monthly creations. His combinations of breads and sauces, different leafy greens and veggies, quality of cheeses and meats. The price is right for what you're getting and I have only once been disappointing with a bread choice I wouldn't have made, but it's only because I have become accustomed to perfection! The breakfast sandwiches are a bit heavy for my morning needs, but still good. The salads are usually a surprise because you never think they'll be as good as they are, and the desserts are simply to die for. I know you can't tell but I'm normally a tough critic. I might be tougher on him in a dinner setting, but for a "brown bag" lunch, you seriously can not do better downtown (including food trucks)!More
