Having just completed oral surgery and unable to drive, I ordered a family dinner from Cactus Club through DoorDash. The only item that I was able to consume on the menu given the circumstances were the Mashed Potatoes. On meal arrival, the delivery person informed...us that the restaurant had forgotten the mashed potatoes leaving me without a dinner. On contacting the restaurant and explaining the situation, it was suggested that I contact DoorDash for a credit with no effort to assist me in delivering my order despite the sole responsibility of the missing item clearly resting on and the fault of the restaurant staff. At my suggestion, they would not send me out a replacement order by their own means with the manager suggesting that I reorder and pay an additional delivery charge plus the cost of the food and that She would provide me a future $10 restaurant credit in exchange. In the meantime, the rest of our food was already cooled to room temperature.... With that said, a first and last order from this unprofessional establishment compounded by both the mediocrity unexceptional nature of our other dishes stemming from overcooked rice to the point of mush, missing salad dressing and soggy chicken. Not being in the restaurant industry, I can only assume that it requires management with greater intelligence to develop an appropriate system of ensuring that packaged orders match actual orders combined with some form of a quality assurance program in terms of actual preparations to a standard?!?More
