Haven’t tried this place before although I know it has been around for years. Went for dinner as a party of 4 on a weeknight. The only other people in the place when we first got there were in a huge party of 14 (and...we knew them!). Despite that, we had excellent and timely service. But it was the food that really gave us a very pleasant surprise. In the party, there was one vegetarian - and as such, I am always happy to have more than one main course to choose from! Here there were at least 2 or 3, as well as a number of vegetarian appy’s. The deal is that if you want to make a 3 course table d’hote, you can add any appy and any dessert to any main course for $15. A great deal. The mushroom in phyllo was served with a lovely, crisp little salad. The chick pea fritters were also served with an even bigger salad. For mains, I chose the squash cannelloni - served in a curry and coconut emulsion. The veggies with it were just outstanding - tender-crisp little green beans, crisp cauliflower,etc. It was really delicious. My husband had the lingcod, and what impressed him most was the depth of flavour in the broth with the fish and clams and mussels. Also great veggies. The desserts were: mango-lime crime brûlée, which disappeared before I could score a taste, my delicious flourless chocolate cake, and a chocolate tart that was also great. WIne was reasonably priced. Service was friendly and attentive. As always, it was noisy, but maybe I am just getting old. Will ask for a table in the patio area next time. Looks lovely out there. Will definitely go back again and again.
