This spot just recently opened on Main and 16th, so we gave it a try. Browns Crafthouse is a distinct concept from Browns Socialhouse, so the menu aren't the same. Upon entering, we were immediately seated. It wasn't too busy. I tried the following: -...Red Chili Ramen - OK. Soup base was quite spicy. Noodles seemed a bit soggy. A little expensive for what you get compared to a regular ramen place, but I guess you expect that. - Chips & Dips - OK. When first served, it looks like a small serving, but as we ate our meals, it's a resonable size. All the dips were OK, not outsanding. - Kids Chicken Strips - Good. I thought we ordered the 1980's Style Chicken Strips, but when I got our bill, they charged us for a Kids Chicken Strips with fries In any case, my kids were happy with it. Smallish chicken bites. Fries are like McDonalds' but fresher, crisper and seasoned. - Salmon Pot Pie - OK. Pretty strong wine taste. It was a bit different that what you can normally find in a Vancouver restaurant, but we got what we expected. Sevice was quite friendly, but a bit on the slow side. Particularly in regards to clearing our plates and getting the bill. Both free residiential and pay street parking is available. Overall, a decent visit. As a newly opened spot, you always worry about food and service hiccups, but that didn't really happend. Pretty standard food, and stardard service. The place provides a comfortable and reliable product and service level.
