Visited as a group of six friends on a Thursday afternoon. Knowing it was a small place with limited seating, we reserved ahead of time. (A must if you want to enjoy afternoon tea) There is good street parking in front of the shop. The...shop itself is very small but they have made the most of the size, arranging loose tea for sale in lovely tin canisters on shelves along the wall at the entrance. Our table was suitably laid out with proper English tea cups in differing sizes and colors, so we really felt we were having a tea experience! Although afternoon tea is a feature of the shop, and I have no doubt it would be fantastic, we arrived about 3:30 so most of us chose smaller portions off the menu. I liked that they had lesser options, such as scone and tea set or sweets and tea, as well as something like a "half-tea" service. They even had a "tea for two" set, which a couple of friends enjoyed. The prices were very reasonable and the food itself was very good. They had good variation of sweets and savories, which was most welcome. They also had a good selection of teas, including green, black, red and herbal varieties. Each of us received our own personal pot and timer to ensure perfect steep times for everyone! It was all fantastic! Can't think of a better way to spend a few hours with friends! Already planning my next visit!!More
