My mom and I have been going every summer since they opened. The location is lovely (sit on the porch for a view over the back where we’ve seen deer), the food is consistent (quiche cooked in the Government House kitchen), the table flowers are...from the garden, the volunteer staff are friendly, and it is the best-priced tearoom in Victoria. The menu is simple but we’ve always enjoyed it (the quiche followed by a scone is my favourite). Tour the gardens afterwards and you’ll have a delightful afternoon outing.
