Whether you are studying at UBC or just visiting, and get a hankering for thin crust pizza, guess what, you are in luck. You can find it at Mercante 's, located at the west end of the UBC campus on University Boulevard. This restaurant, operated...by UBC food services, offers you good quality food at reasonable prices, pizza at $11 to $12, salads at $4 to $8. Also available are pastries, deserts and specialty coffees. You can chose to eat inside or find a nice spot somewhere on the Commons. Its hours are 10 to 6, everyday except for Fridays, hours are 7:30 to 11:59 pm. This was a very busy spot when we were there in late September which may have accounted for the somewhat haphazard attention to service, slow and a bit of rudeness. Who knows, at any rate, you have an opportunity to enjoy delicious pizza on one of Canada's iconic university campuses.
