I love the katsu here and we tend to order the same couple of things. Diversified the last time and got a couple of the noodle and don dishes. The ebi don was so tasty! Can't believe we had forgotten how good it was. As we had it via take-away the batter on the prawns wasn't as crisp, but they were still firmly stuck on, and tasted great. The katsu's have all been coming with crispy coating even after sitting in the take-away box for a while. Right now they are only doing take-away, and have become our go-to if we are ordering in. We always call ahead to reserve what we want later that day to ensure they don't sell out - they are amazing about providing that option. Because they are a small place we go out of our way to pick-up our order. If you can do so I would highly encourage it, as all the delivery services take 30% of the cost. Trying to help small independents any way we can right now. Especially as I would be so sad if they closed for good! Was really sad that Katsuten was closed during the middle of the year during the chaos, and wasn't sure if they would re-open. But they have and they are just as great as ever. If you feel for some traditional Japanese style katsu I can highly recommend then. Keep supporting small local restaurants - and make Katsuten one of them.
