We visited JOEY on Barlow on August 23, 2021. It was a different experience than the one we had on July 5, 2021. We sat at a small booth for two. The restaurant was maybe one quarter full. After we ordered; the server asked if...we wanted to keep the menus, which was odd. My sister had the California Chicken Sandwich with Caesar Salad, price $19. I had the Herb Crush Salmon, price $29.75 as well as a glass of water each. It seemed to take forever for our food to arrive. At no time were we ever advised that our meal would be arriving soon or how much longer it would take to get to us. It was brought to our table by another server, not the original one who took our order. The crispy mashed potato was hot; however, the potato under it, along with the salmon and the asparagus were barely warm. It took a long time for our original server to come by our table. She didn’t check to see how our food was or if we needed anything else. My sister had to ask the original server for more water and another napkin. The server was probably gone for at least five minutes before my sister had to ask her again for the napkin and water and if she should take a napkin from a nearby table. We eventually got separate bills and they were brought by the server who brought our meals to the table. My sister was overcharged by $3 on her bill. When my sister questioned the second server, she seemed bothered that she was asking about it. She went to track down the original server. The original server came back and indicated that the price was correct and that she didn’t set the prices. Neither the original server or the second server, checked the price on the actual menu. I was disappointed that the kitchen would send out a barely warm meal and that the server would bring it. I wouldn’t like to see what the temperature of the food would be, if we were dining at a table with several other people. My sister and I each left zero for a tip, as the service was horrible.
