We were wandering around and saw this restaurant and thought we'd give it a go for dinner. We were greeted by a very friendly Andy who made sure we felt welcome and showed us to a table. An equally friendly waitress came and gave us...a menu and mentioned the specials. A few minutes later she came back and took our orders. I'm a coeliac and so can't have gluten. No problem they had a terrific gluten free pasta. The meal was just terrific. The waitress was friendly and chatty and very personable and my wife and daughter both commented on how great she was. The following day I was meeting my brother and his son and decided to treat them to dinner. We obviously thought of Locale Mercatto after our experience the night before and rang to book a table. Andy recognised my voice and again made me feel very welcome. When we arrived he greeted us on sight and brought us to a table. My brother and his son were as happy as we had been. This is a great well run restaurant and if we were to visit Toronto again it would be on our list of places to revisit.
