I was in Vancouver for a conference and stayed at a different hotel across the street. But friends told me to visit this bar, which is tucked inside the Pan Pacific Hotel on the third floor, the Coal Harbour Bar. The drinks and the view...are great, but the highlight of this place is Patrick, the bartender who is usually there on the second shift. Funny, knowledgeable about the city and Canada, he makes everyone at the bar at home and welcome. The views overlooking the harbor are gorgeous. If you want to sit outside, there is a patio where you can relax and enjoy food and drinks outside. I stopped in twice at this bar on my visit. I look forward to visiting again on my next trip to Vancouver. And be sure to tip this great bartender well. :)More
