We had a friend refer us to this Calgary NW location of the Fritou franchise chicken chain. I think they will give KFC and Popeye's a run for it's money. They have better fries, less greasy chicken and some unique menu items such as General...Tso's chicken, poutine and even Pizza. We only tried the Chicken, Fries, Gravy and their 'Hot Sauce'. The chicken is not as seasoned as Popeyes but less greasy. It was also very juicy. The fries were simple but delicious with a slight sprinkling of seasoning salt. The gravy was different, and I am not sure if I like it yet. I will have to go back again and try it once more. The hot sauce was really different. It was almost a vegetable/tomato based hot sauce. It comes on very mild but then at the end had a bite. My wife loved it and though it was amazing. I thought it was a little too different than the vinegar based hot sauces I am used to eating. The Restaurant is a little small and a little run down, but the service was super quick. We ordered 5 pieces with fries and probably took only 5 mins to get our food.
