In our travels in south Calgary, we had a strong desire for Indian food. Through trip advisor we found a newish restaurant off of Macleod Trail and Southland Drive, in the corner of this strip mall. We were pleasantly greeted in this small 50 seating...restaurant. There is an openish kitchen; the mirrored wall has a large window view into the kitchen. Not really a party room. We ordered Pakora, Malai Kofta, their special, Andhra Chicken curry, and garlic naan. The chicken uses this unique spicing used in southern India, the region called Chettinad. The pakora was OK. I found that they were almost uncooked in the middle as they make the same mistake that I do which is to cook the pakora at too high of a temperature. But with our first bite of the Malai Kofta and Chettinadu spiced chicken, the UMMMMM bomb went off. We had never tasted this style of spicing, and the depth of flavour in the chicken curry was amazing. I had the heat at a medium and it was perfectly balanced. We live in the NW and are willing to travel 35 minutes to eat here again.
