I wanted to have proper poutine while in Montreal so the concierge at my hotel down the street recommend Addies. While it’s not the most accessible restaurant (a flight of stairs with no handrail) it was worth visiting. The poutine was excellent and the service...was fast and efficient. I found it a bit noisy with two large parties but I had a window seat and got to people watch while I ate. I liked that they brought a big glass bottle of cold water for me to pour from as soon as I was seated. Prices were great-I had poutine & a pop. It was a large portion (I didn’t finish it) and the bill was $10. The food I saw coming for other tables looked and smelled amazing & potions were very generous. Id eat there again and try the Montreal smoked beef.
