Recently tried Core over the weekend and had a wonderful experience. We were greeted right away and seated at a lovely table in the front area. Our server Richard was wonderful! Attentive, friendly and informative. We started off with a dozen oysters and cocktails which...were part of their happy hour feature - $1 oysters and $10 cocktails and select wines. For appetizers we had the pork belly and the scallops crudo. The scallop dish was fresh, light and seasoned perfectly. The pork belly was cooked perfectly. For mains we had the rib eye which was served with fries and house made ketchup and the honey glazed duck breast. The duck was one of the best duck dishes I have had in the city. The meat was incredibly tender and melted in your mouth like butter while the skin was crispy and all the fat was perfectly rendered. For dessert we had the lemon curd that was served with these delicious sesame crackers. Overall, this is a wonderful restaurant that is preparing delicious food in a warm, casual environment. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to others.
