My wife and I are always on the hunt for good eats. During these Covid days, that’s become increasingly difficult, relying only on takeout and delivery. So we were very happy to stumble onto Pho Bo To: a humble, family-owned Vietnamese restaurant, offering good, simple,...hearty food at reasonable prices. Our favourite dish is the #96: Broken Rice with Grilled Pork Chop, Grilled Chicken, and Spring Roll. But what really makes it sing is the Nuoc Mam sauce (a typical fish sauce condiment). We like to call it Num-Num sauce as it sends the dish to a new level. If Vietnamese cuisine had a comfort food, this is it! The owners are very friendly and helpful and now that Toronto has entered Stage 3, we can’t wait to try the dine-in experience.
