At one time, this was "the best and only" place to go in the city for Indian food. I honestly can't say if they've kept the title because there are so many newer places I haven't bothered to try. But here's what I do know:...the owner/hosts are delightful (gracious and sweet); food consistently has just those right flavours; atmosphere is calm, welcoming and pleasant. It's been a favourite for celebrations and take-out alike. As anywhere, every meal isn't always perfect: how can it be? Still, considering the number of times I've partaken, it's quite an accomplishment that they've managed to hit the mark so often. Congrats to the owners on surviving in Vancouver's booming dining scene. Highly recommend to customers for dinner or lunch.
