We’ve been here several times over the years. We always wish we had the cook at the table next to us. There’s only one good show in the place and it’s never at our table. We’ve even asked if we could have an experienced chef...and the hostess will not help us get him. This meal was particularly awful. The chicken liver appetizer had just been reviewed in the paper as a “good choice”. I thought it was awful. The texture was like sand and it was grey and un appetizing to look at. Disgusting. The rest of our meal was a disgrace with the rice being undercooked with hard kernels in my meal. Steak was overcooked and vegetables were raw, not cooked crunchy, raw. They bring these big bottles of sauce to the grill and drown the food in it and then let it simmer. Everything tastes the same. Lastly, someone please buy the cook a new white shirt instead of the dirty one he had on. Maybe you could give him a black shirt like the other chefs so the dirt doesn’t show. I’ve lived in winnipeg for 35 years. I feel stupid for getting sucked in to dining here again. It’s never been good.
