I'm not that familiar with Japanese cuisine----other than sushi restaurants, and dishes like udon and yakisoba. Looking at the dishes advertised with pictures outside the restaurant didn't even give me the realization that this place specialized in ramen----a tasty broth with noodles, meat, vegetables, etc....So, alas, we didn't order a ramen. The menu is colourful, but confusing. We shared a bowl of Barbeque pork kimchi don (on rice), and it was lovely. Yes, the pork is very fatty, but that probably adds to its flavour. The kimchi was cold and contrasted with the warm dish and it wasn't one of my favourite kim-chi's....more sour than spicy. But it was still pretty good. We also had a delightful Yakinuku combo, which was a marinated beef with beansprouts, fried onion, and other vegetables---and it came with rice and miso soup. (THe miso is very nice, by the way, even if a bit salty for some people's tastes). I was really taken by the soy paste that is in a squeeze bottle which they make themselves. I asked what was in it, but the waitress couldn't speak English and wasn't able to tell me in a way I could understand. This little restaurant also has an interesting atmosphere.....with wooden tables and a library of what looks like mostly Japanese comic books. We'll be back, and I look forward to trying the noodle dishes.
