Great Italian restaurant on Commercial Drive! My hubby picked this place and with my lifestyle change of no-low carbs and sugar free typically Italian food is not a good idea! What was he thinking? I don’t feel like a salad again as I had one...for lunch. I was greeted by the host upon entering who told me she will be misting sanitizer on my hands. Mist away! I found my hubby near the front of the restaurant. It was quite busy on a Friday night. It felt cozy and warm with top 40 music playing. You need to scan QR code for the menu. It was a bit challenging for me to choose a non-salad meal but they did have gluten free pasta and I asked the staff about the ingredients of the GF pasta. He didn’t know and brought out the bag and read out the ingredients. I ended up choosing GF penne with meatballs. It was super tasty. I tend to not finish my entree but this time I did. The meatballs were large and satisfying and perfectly enough to have each a bite with penne at the end. My hubby got the item on special. I don’t remember the name but it was loaded with mussels. He thoroughly enjoyed his dish and told me the flavours on point. Our staff was super attentive to us. I drink a lot of water with meals and every time my glass was empty within 5 seconds he’s filling it. He must’ve refilled my glass about 5 times. I am quite used to flagging someone to refill, but certainly not this time. Great spot of a good Italian meal on The Drive. Must dine here!More
