Authentic tandor cooking and some of the best sag paneer I've had (very delicate and the cheese was 'just right'), this upstairs restaurant allows you to sit outside in the treetops overlooking 4th Ave or inside with air conditioning and large tables that can accommodate...largish-groups or couples. The menu is pretty extensive - the garlic naan was also 'just right' and no scorching that can be common with nan, warm, garlicy and chewy. The restaurant is clearly popular with locals, has takeout, and someone visiting UBC for a conference can access it easily using the 84 Express Bus (get off on Burard and walk back up the hill a couple of blocks) or the 4 local (either the Arbutus or Maple stop... the restaurant is on the corner of Maple and 4th, upstairs. ARbutus is the stop before Maple as you go into town). There is a full bar with local and Indian beer as well as wine and mixed drinks.
