Went Last night with 2 friends. Upon arrival the hostess informed us that we needed to pay 10 dollars in or leave our ID and go to the atm inside and get the cash to pay in. I went in, went to the bathroom and...lined up for the atm for 10 minutes. Eventually went back and paid the admission and got my ID back. Was in line on the coat check and got a text about an urgent family issue I had to leave to deal with. Went back up to the hostess and asked if I could have my 10 dollars back because I had to leave urgently. She lyingly said I had been in for half an hour and I couldn’t get my money back. Next thing she called over an intimidating and unfriendly manager who started shouting in my face that there’s no refund policy. Come on, I had been inside for 10 minutes. Anyway I am from Ireland so the name “Belfast love” holds some sentiment for me and many other Irish in Toronto. However I will never be returning and I will be urging my Irish friends to steer well clear of Belfast love. Awful place.
