The Sylvia never pretends to be anything other than she is: a good, honest, very well staffed and run hotel, lounge and restaurant in an unbeatable location. It is like the essence of the neighbourhood: worldly, friendly, relaxed, good-looking, really nice but unpretentious. The accommodation,...food, drinks and service are all good; staff are conscientious about health protocols. the view is stunning and quintessentially Vancouver West End: English Bay, people strolling, scootering and cycling under the beautiful tall trees along the waterfront - Canada geese using pedestrian crossings to navigate the urban streetscape, and lively, interesting Denman street just around the corner. By far our favourite place to stay in Vancouver - always.
