+.5 for service This is a unique French bistro at what was the old train station building in St. Boniface, with a train coach attached to the restaurant. My family visited me recently and we dined here for dinner, opting a seat in the train bar. The menu is French-inspired with a Manitoba twist to it (Goldeye filet, anyone?). There's also daily specials that are off the menu, but your server will mention what they are. I had the escargots and mushrooms, foie gras, seafood bisque, and a lamb ragout, which was the daily special that night. Overall I really enjoyed the food here. The escargots were decent, though not the best I've had ever. The foie gras was delicious though, as well as the lamb ragout. The seafood bisque, while good, didn't feel like it lived up to the value. Service was excellent, and the ambience was just as good sitting in the train coach. I definitely preferred here over Mon Ami Louis and recommend here over that other place.
