Banners will be something for some...and not other's cup of tea. We stopped here for breakfast and had a solid breakfast for a reasonable price. People watching from the booths along the window helped pass an hour while the rain passed. People watching inside...and having...people watch you back...was an interesting experience. From what I could see there were a large number of regulars and they had a good rapport with the servers...and the servers were friendly and efficient. Are there nicer places to go? Probably. Are there places to go with a more ethnic flavor to their menu? On Commercial Drive? Absolutely. But if you want to sit amongst the locals and have an uncomplicated, inexpensive meal than this fits the bill.
