At the start of September, my friend and I went from Victoria to see the Van Gogh exhibit at the Convention Centre. After getting off the Canada Line at Waterfront station, we needed a washroom. There were none to use! We were told to go...to the A&W outside the building. Not comfortable doing that, we wandered to the end of the building and discovered the Rogue Kitchen and Bar. We told Brent Johnston, the director, that we had an appointment and couldn't even buy a drink or food. He very pleasantly said of course we could use the bathroom. In this ugly day and age of negative people, Brent and his 3 staff standing there waiting for business, could not have been kinder and more welcoming, even though we were spending no money! I will definitely return to that nice looking bar and eat and drink something! If you live in the area or are on the Canada Line regularly, please take the time to go into this restaurant and support this staff! Such a positive experience. I told them I'd write them up and advertise their business. Go there!More
