Since our 2019 visit here, things have changed a little at the Baghdad Cafe. There were not as many things to have included in the wraps (I missed not seeing their coleslaw as an option) but the basics were there. Seeing the marinated chicken being...shaved from the vertical spit gives Baghdad Cafe a real sense of authenticity (and street creds). The staff are so skilled at opening the pita in two sheets; then layering the chicken and toppings before slathering it in sauce and rolling it all shut. The end product was nearly as good as we remembered it. But (sadly) not quite. I believe their menu options may have shrunk somewhat but as long as these wraps are on the menu, we'll probably keep coming back. This is a favorite to-go spot of ours. Just as an aside, as we walked the various neighborhoods in Vancouver, we saw more and more Middle Eastern wraps places. The various places will differ primarily in the kinds of homemade sauces at each establishment's location. After being exposed to Shawarmas and Doners in Europe, we became big fans of this deliciously seasoned ethnic delicacy.
