When we stay nearby in Vancouver, this is our everyday breakfast place. Yes, it's a diner. No, it is not fancy. The food and service are really just exactly what we like in a diner. The staff is very helpful and friendly (Particularly Claire, the..."lass from Essex" mentioned in another review). The whole staff made a point of greeting our little granddaughter. She liked them a lot and that's good enough for me. Oh yeah, the breakfasts... No complaints from me or my family. Nicely cooked eggs, sourdough(!) toast, bacon, potatoes or fruit, a wrap, and omelets. The french toast was terrific, corned beef hash hit the right notes and the coffee was hot and strong. Bottom line: my kind of place. Don't look for luxury, just really good food and great service at a very reasonable price. They serve lunch and dinner too, but we haven't tried them.
