I never had Syrian food before.
I never had Syrian food before. Very close to Mediterranean flavors but different. Our special event was catered by this restaurant. I do not know the name of the dishes so will describe relative to my food vocabulary. First was a coleslaw of various sliced...raw vegetables sprinkled in a mild spice I could not identify, skinnier in size rolled cabbage rolls, rice pilaf with green peas and a baklava type dessert. I enjoyed the flavors of all the dishes though the main was a little overdone but forgiven as they were serving about 150 people for a fundraiser event.
