Wandering around Granville Island we peeked into a couple spots but somehow Kaisereck's little impromptu patio off their back was beckoning. Right now (May 2021) there is an enclosed half and an open half: we got a table on the open side, ordered a couple...dunkels (dark beer) and their charcuterie plate. Service was very good - friendly without being intrusive (remarkably unusual and so welcome). Our charcuterie plate was brought out from the deli on a plank - and we were given the option of side plates (declined: enjoyed nibbling off the plank.) Loved the choices of sliced meats (prosciutto, Italian salame, etc) German & Dijon mustards, big soft pretzel, some sliced pickle and sliced cheese. The one small quibble would be that the cheese was a bit bland given the strong flavors of the meats & mustards served. Found it a good value & very tasty. I hope they can keep their little outdoor tables - far prefer that to the inside court in normal times.
