Went out on a Friday evening for dinner with the whole family, party of 8 to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. It was special because we waited a long time to get everyone out together. Before sitting down, I took the hostess aside and discretely asked...for our server to be notified that everything would be on one bill and to please give it to me at the end of our visit. Our server came to the table, I don’t know her name because she never told us what it was, took drink orders and forgot to take my boyfriend, the birthday boy’s drink order, and left. When it was time to order, no one could finish our order because she kept trying to move on to the next person, like as if we didn’t want any add-ons. We had to continuously tell her, “sorry, but I would also like to add.... (mushrooms or a half rack of ribs for example)”. While having our drinks, which were a couple of beers, a $90 bottle of wine to share and a Caesar which my boyfriend asked for mild and was extra spicy.... another server came to our table and started putting another table’s food down in front of us. We had to tell them this was the wrong table. We overheard something another server was telling the table beside us about a special they were doing for all steaks where you could get fried onions and mushrooms sautéed on top, so when our server was passing by, I asked about it and she just said, “oh yeah, I can add that to your meal for $5 or $7”. We didn’t quite understand why she gave 2 different prices so we just kept our order as it was. Our food arrived, and half of the orders were wrong. 4 out of 8 dinners were uncooked to the temperature we asked for, one of them was completely the wrong cut of steak. The shrimp Skewer in my surf and turf was Uneven (3 comes on a skewer and 1 was nearly raw, the other 2 not as cooked as I would’ve liked). My brother’s steak was not at all seasoned and completely bland, my sister in law’s steak was blue when she asked for medium, also not seasoned, my other brother was so hungry that he said he just didn’t want to look at it and just ate it but didn’t enjoy it. On the upside my steak was well seasoned and cooked well, and my boyfriend enjoyed his steak, although half of the steak was tender and the other half was different, but it was well seasoned, however not cooked to the temperature requested, but he didn’t mind. My mom’s ribs were great and my 2 children really enjoyed their chicken tenders and fries. We had to ask about dessert and the kids got ice cream included with their meal, we ordered 1 caramel and 1 chocolate, the server came back with raspberry.... at this point we couldn’t help but laugh at how horrible this experience was and said, “ I’m sorry but we ordered everything but raspberry” so the server brought the right dessert and placed it a little rough on the table as if she was upset. She came back and said she noticed things weren’t quite right and she would like for her manager to come by to speak with us so we could give feedback.... we were a little put off since we didn’t ask for a manager. The manager, Anita came by and said she heard about the mix ups and asked what else was wrong, as if we asked for her to come to the table, so we just said, “our server asked us to speak to you, we didn’t prompt it, but since you’re here, everything from the drinks to dessert was wrong, lol” she then blamed it on covid, which we all looked at each other trying to figure out how Covid has anything to do with customer service or cooking a steak to the requested temperature. We just smiled and said that’s ok. Anita the manager said she hoped that next time we come back and things will be a lot better for us and left. We waited to see if our waitress was going to come back with a dessert for my boyfriend since she knew it was his birthday and when I had first made reservations, they said they would bring him a little something, but nothing came so we just asked for the bill and again, I asked my server to Please hand it to me. She came back and gave my brother the bill, lol. So, I reached over and took the bill from him, and then she notices that I did that, and said ,”oh yeah, I forgot I was told to give it to you, guess I forgot” so I replied, “that’s ok, it must be busy, I understand, I just told you 2mins ago.... and everything else went wrong, so what’s another little thing”. Now when I looked at the bill, it was just under $540.... if you as a server or a manager were aware of all the mix ups, problems and bad experience with a table’s dinner, especially one trying to celebrate something, a good restaurant would do a little something.... nothing was done.... even if it was just a $5 compensation I would’ve appreciated it. Not a single dime. I looked at the family and said they didn’t even comp a drink, or an ice cream or a single dollar. My family was shocked and said, “this place is trash and we are NEVER coming back here again” I felt horrible because I really wanted everyone to have a great meal together and every single one of us, with the exception of my 1yr old and 6yr old sons, were completely disappointed. What a let down. What do I do for a tip option? My server was horrible.... but everyone works to put food on their own table, so I still gave a $40 tip, which was not a 15% or even 10% tMore
