Maybe I am getting too picky in my old age, but on this Monday evening, there were only 8 guests in total dining in this restaurant, so I figured we might receive special treatment (or at least great service??). I asked how cold the beer...was, and when I received a "luke warm" response, I asked if I could order a beer in a chilled glass. Our server said that they had chilled Heineken glasses, so if I ordered that specific beer I could get a chilled glass. So, I ordered a Heineken. The server came back and told me that there were out of Heineken, so I asked if they could serve me a Stella in a chilled glass. The response was that NO, the chilled glasses are reserved for Heineken. Understand my frustration? I settled for a Stella, in a glass that they tried to cool by swirling some ice in it. This method works for a few seconds and then dies off quickly. I do not know why the beer here appeared to me to be a degree or two warmer than it should. Maybe the keg had not been in the cooler long enough. Anyway, we ordered appies ( zucchini chips and Calamari, both of which were OK ) followed by our meals. My wife's Gnocchi in Pesto sauce was described by her as "average". I would describe my GB & O with Pineapple the same way. My son's friend said that his ZEP Pizza was delicious, so that was good. My son ordered Gnocchi in tomato sauce with NO CHEESE as he cannot eat cheese. The server neglected to order it without cheese, brought it out, and had to return it to the kitchen, meaning that my son had to wait an additional 8 - 10 minutes to get his meal. We were finished our food by the time he got served, and then he also described his Gnocchi as "average".
