Called over a month ago to make reservations for a party of 11 for our Christmas Lunch. I have heard good things about this place so I was very excited to try it out. 2 weeks ago, I called to increase the number of my...party from 11 to 13. I was told that I did not have a reservation for this day at 11:45am. Whoever took down my reservation put it at 7pm that evening and for only 7 people. HUGE MISTAKE. I was not impressed. The very helpful Stephanie was able to book us in for 13 people and she apologized profusely for the error. So today, my party arrives, we DO NOT have seating for 13 (thank goodness a couple of people had to cancel last minute) Or they would not have had a seat. When I called to make the reservation I asked ahead of time if there would be a "set menu" for Christmas, I was told no, regular menu. When we arrived, we had a paper menu on the tables all in French ( I get it, QC) so we asked for an English menu, we waited maybe 10 minutes before we finally got the menu. A few people in my party wanted to know if they could order off of the main menu because there was nothing on the "set menu:" that they were interested in. I and the others were told NO, we cannot order from the regular menu because we are a group.. Waitress: see the people next to you, they are also getting this menu. I explained that there was really nothing I wanted on that menu. We received another menu which had cold and hot appetizers on and were told we could order from that one if we wanted. When Michelene, our very horrible waitress, was taking drink orders she totally passed over 2 people in my party who were waiting to order drinks. When she came back with the drinks for those of us lucky enough to get one, she looked at the other people and said.. OH you just want water right and walked away. That is NOT what they wanted. Now, onto my meal - Fettucine Alfredo with Chicken $16 + $6 for the chicken. The Alfredo sauce was watery, extremely bland and the chicken OMG rubbery! The meal came out looking very unappealing, no garnish, barely enough chicken and certainly not REAL chicken. Many people in my party were not impressed with their meals especially for the price that they are charging. This being a BISTRO, we all expected much better. Our waitress Michelene did not even come to our table to ask us if we would like anything over our meals, parmesan, ground pepper or anything of the sort. She never once asked any of us how our meals were, very very inattentive to all of us. When I was done my meal I asked for my bill and for the 2nd time advised Michelene to put my Managers meal on my bill. Ok.. off she goes, she comes back after 10 minutes or so with the bill, on it was not my managers meal but someone else's for a total of over $71!!! I had to wait for her to come back to the table to advised her that she did not put the correct order on my bill. She took the bill and looked at it very confused and apologized. I had to wait again for another 5-10 minutes for her to come back with the correct bill - she comped my wine. When I was asking her where my managers meal was she pointed to the bill and said.. there it is.. the chef special in a very rude tone. I paid my bill, $57.50 in exact change. This woman did not deserve a tip in my opinion. Oh.. and to top it off.. the young lady who was refilling the water glasses reached over my meal while I was eating to get my colleagues water glass. I had to move my wine before she knocked it over. The food was not good, it was overpriced for what you got, the service alone was horrible and enough of a turn off for me. I would not and will not recommend this place to anyone. I wish I could have given this place a wonderful review but not gonna happen.
