I will first state that I have both eaten in and ordered from this establishment in previous years. We usually get our fish and chips elsewhere but due to the current pandemic we were forced to come back on Good Friday this year. The problems...started with them not answering the phone. Upon arriving, I found a dozen people waiting outside their door and was informed by those in line that this was the line to order food. No employee came out to coordinate the line for the entire time I was there. Over the next 30 minutes I witnessed 6 drivers arrive for food delivery pickup. All were told by us to go to the back of the building as there was a tiny sign stating this but it was not readable unless you walked right up to it. An employee came out a couple of times to greet drivers and ask if anyone else was picking up for delivery services. He shocked us all as he was not wearing gloves or a mask and actually shook hands with one driver before going back inside as he used the doorknobs on both entranceway doors. The last straw was a few minutes later at approximately 6:10pm when a female employee came out and announced that they did not have anymore food. The best line she had was when she told us they had no idea we were out there. Even though customers had been coming and going for quite a while and employees had been out to talk and touch drivers. NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN. Have already told this story to family, friends and whoever else gets fish and chips in North York. Absolutely disgusting health quality and customer service.
