Does covid still exist? Packed into the place like sardines seems a bit unnerving. Food was good but nothing like we expected. Have been wanting to try Vijs so many times over the years. There is no question that when the owner is gone so...is the passion. Yeah, maybe he is around sometimes, but I can’t imagine this is the place that has received so many accolades. It can’t be. We had a newbie server who tried hard but just didn’t have it. We were 1 for 8 on the cocktails and one had to be sent back as it was undrinkable. Everyone’s food was good. Nothing though that makes me think that I need to come back anytime soon, if ever. Even the famous lamb popsicles (which I have made before from his recipe book) were just good. $350 for four people with tip. Disappointing. Disappointed. Disappointment.
