My wife and I tried Penang Delight in Marpole for the first time. Overall, the food was very good. We prefer better than John 3:16, not as good as Banana Leaf Broadway. Hainanese chicken was deboned chicken drumsticks. Actually, out of the 3 restaurants, John...3:16 was enjoyed the most. Deluxe Curry Platter has curry chicken, lamb rendang, and beef rendang. It was pretty good, but lacked enough curry sauce. Satay chicken and beef was also pretty good. Nicely seasoned. K.L. Hokkian Mee was ok. It's similar to Shanghai style thick noodle, but using dark soy sauce. We were not used to the veggies being overcooked and mixed into the dish. Rainbow Ice Kachang was ok. It lacked enough sweetness, we had to ask for extra syrup. Penang Delight certainly has a lot of variety. We will definitely be back to try other dishes. One dish that was super popular was the clay pot water spinach which smelled really good.
