We went to Normands primarily because I had heard it had a great reputation and we were at the Citadel. The positive reviews are very well deserved. The service was excellent, not a beat was missed by our server. My husband had the spinach salad,...the beef short ribs and chocolate mousse. I had the house salad, asparagus, cream chicken penne and ice cream with chocolate sauce. The servings of each plating were very generous. Salads were exactly as described with lots of feta, cranberries and delicious vinaigrette’s. The beef short ribs had a delicious sauce with a slight anise flavour, my husband even ate his vegetables! My chicken penne was the best I’ve ever had. Whole chicken breast in a bed of creamy penne. The sauce had asparagus and cream and was so delectable and a nice change from the standard mushroom cream sauce. The desserts had extra touches of dark chocolate bark. Just a great experience from start to finish!More
