We were shocked when we opened the door to enter. The restaurant was packed, including every single bar stool. There is no way this place meets the Canadian 50% capacity restriction. They checked our vax and ID, but that felt like a charade. The rooms...was smokey from the open kitchen, so poor ventilation as well. We thought about leaving, but where would we go on Christmas night at 7:30 with no reservation. Plus we had paid $50pp to guarantee our place, which we would have to forfeit. The kitchen is open so you can see the cooks making all the smoke. And most of the cooks wore their masks dangling from one ear. Our server had a hard time keeping his mask over his nose. Come on people! The meal was just as bad if not worse. Lukewarm dumplings in a sea of cold consumé; chicken wings that were so sticky to touch and cold in the center; roasted cauliflower buried in a sea of capers, and heaps of yogurt or sour soft cheese, we couldn’t tell; shrimps dumped on a plate of “foam”. None of it was good, not one course. To top it off, the large family sitting right next to us had a small child who coughed like he has pneumonia though the whole experience. For this, we paid $300 - absurd rip-off and the stuff of covid nightmares. Avoid this Petri dish !More
