500 Cucina is now known as Scarpetta Italian Eatery. Apparently scarpetta means to scrape your plate clean with bread. As usual, Chef Rocco and his team does not disappoint! The name may have changed but the menu, refreshments and the service have always been top...shelf. This night we enjoyed the Sangrias, seasonally prepared depending upon fruit availability. I also enjoyed the seasonal Prosseco Spritzer. The Calamari and Salad we shared and always enjoy The Tagliatelle dish, this time enjoying the thin baked bread so I could literally scrape my plate clean! Our server Jeremy was very attentive to our table as well as his other guests, Jimmy always recognizes us and comes over to say hello, and Chef Rocco always visits his guests as well for a little chit chat. We love coming to this jewel in our neighbourhood and highly recommend Scarpetta as a casual, yet fancy and affordable fine dining experience.
