I went with friends for the first time. Each person ordered appetizers with their meal, but I only ordered a main. Not only was service on the slow side, but they managed to get my meal out of the kitchen ten minutes after everyone else...at the table got their mains. I mention this as it was in my opinion bad planning from the kitchen, and it tainted my experience of this restaurant. I might be more understanding if the place was packed, but it was far from the case that night. The piri-piri chicken was just okay, a bit on the dry side and quite “charcoal-y” for my taste. The sauce was good, not overly spicy. I tasted the braised lamb and that was good. I would definitely gravitate to that choice on the menu next time. The custard tarts were delicious for dessert and I was happy that they serve two on the plate.
